Two machined aluminum cups offer increased durability and bearing life, while keeping a simple press together method for installation and maintenance.
The cups are far more resilient than the typical plastic offerings and do a better job of protecting the bearings from excessive press from an undersized bottom bracket shell. Rubber o-rings, housed in machined recesses on the cups, prevent water or other contaminants from entering your frame. The bearings are ABEC-3 rated and feature high precision Grade 10 chromium steel balls that are within 10/1,000,000 inch round, twice as round as the industry standard.
Highly polished chromium alloy races ensure smooth spinning and quiet operation. Installation is pretty straightforward provided you have the appropriate bearing press. This particular bottom bracket is engineered for SRAM/Truvativ GXP standard cranks which feature a 24 to 22mm stepped spindle.
All necessary spacers and shims are included.
