The biodegradable substrate made of sustainable wood is extremely soft and therefore safe for delicate snake species and newly-hatched snakes. The special texture of the wood fibres enables snakes to build nesting cavities into which they can crawl or retreat - just as they would do in their natural habitat. The wood fibres not only reduce bad odours but are also highly absorbent and dry very quickly too.
The snake substrate does not contain any toxic oils or resins.Instructions for use:The substrate may only be used in a disinfected and completely dry terrarium. Spread the snake substrate in a 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick layer on the terrarium floor. Remove soiled substrate pieces daily.
Replace substrate completely at least every 8 weeks or earlier if necessary.
