This electronics networking modem is part of the Cisco Firepower 4100 Series, which offers superior threat defense with faster speeds and a smaller footprint. The appliance supports flow-offloading, programmatic orchestration, and RESTful APIs. The Cisco Firepower 4120 platform in this series is NEBS-compliant.

This device can run either the Cisco ASA Firewall or Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) software. Designed as the central hub of all network security activity, it offers application control firewall protection for dependable security and added productivity. SHA-256 protects data transferred over the network with a 256-bit hash value.

This model features four 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 40 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
