The parent control has a light display which visually shows any baby sounds and has a volume control for audible sound.

The display also shows the nursery temperature. The parent unit has belt clip and operates on rechargeable NiCad batteries with included charging stand while the nusery unit runs with an AC adaptor and 4 AAA batteries as backup.
